Your roof can last for 20 years or more, once the seamless coating has been professionally applied. It costs 50% more to tear off and replace a roof than to have it refurbished with elastomeric roof coatings. The coating is elastic (which give it the name “elastomeric”)
It stretches in the heat of a summer day. The coating goes back to its original size at night when it cools down. This movement happens on any roof, but it causes cracks and buckling in other roofing materials, and those areas leak. That doesn’t happen with elastomeric roof coatings. You get a roof that is virtually weather-proof. It resists punctures from blowing branches or debris, stands up to hail, and stays put in our tropical Florida winds. It’s a tight seal. Wind cannot get up and under the membrane.
